1. Salt Extraction
The process of producing mineral salt begins with the identification and assessment of natural resources. Iran (especially its desert and mountainous regions such as Semnan and Garmsar) is home to rich and valuable salt reserves, from which Haft Namak sources all of its products.
After geological surveys and confirmation of deposit quality, salt is extracted using both surface and underground mining methods with the help of heavy machinery.
Salt veins are safely broken into large chunks through controlled manual blasting with specialized explosives and then transported to designated storage facilities.
Final packaging is done using standard export bags, and the product is prepared for domestic use or international shipping.
For export, documents such as commercial invoice, bill of lading, health certificates, SDS/MSDS, and HS Codes are required and some of which may be the buyer’s responsibility.
2. Transportation
Depending on the volume and type of salt, the appropriate method of transportation is selected, with land transport generally preferred for large-scale exports.
3. Import to Europe
At the destination, the shipment must be cleared through European entry customs. This process includes document verification, quality control testing, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Only after final approval is the salt allowed to enter the consumer market.
